We have been taking the challenge that Couponing to Disney issued for a no-dining-out March. Eating out is something we typically used to do at least 3-4 times on the weekend and we would end up getting take out or delivery 1-2 times during the week.
Well, we have been really good this month. I have been trying to plan ahead. Today before we left to do a bunch of errands, I put pork chops in the crock pot. By the time we got home, they were falling-off-the-bone tender. I had some mashed potatoes from the Country Crock sides that were on sale at Publix a couple of weeks ago. My last errand of the day was to pick up some of the Johnson Buddies bath bars at Walmart so I grabbed a loaf of their hot and fresh french bread. Dinner was delicious and it was so nice to come home to a hot meal with little effort at the end of a busy day.
The pork chops were so easy -- put them in the crock pot with some dry onion soup mix and a can of cream of mushroom soup. Turn it on and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. Now hubby has leftovers for lunch tomorrow too!
